but for us have adapted well to typical rich garden soil

Their bold texture makes a nice garden foil to more airy-textured perennials

then decorated with dangling white bells in spring followed by lovely blue-black fruit in early fall

The wide border, contrasting with the corrugated gold center is hosta perfection at its finest. The 16" tall x 40" wide, vigorous clumps are topped with 29" spikes of light lavender flowers in midsummer.
